Creative Connect: Industry Sessions offers industry-specific career coaching for anyone looking to work in the creative, cultural, or digital sectors. These are delivered in person and with knowledgeable industry professionals from organisations like the BBC, V&A, Seen Studios and more.
Sessions are up to 45 minutes long and are available between 10am-5pm. And take place in-person only at the Good Growth Hub.
This includes feedback on CVs or existing work and portfolios. Get support navigating the job market by exploring new job opportunities or career paths that match your skills, learning goals, and creative career aspirations.
Whether you’re certain of what you’d like to explore next or a bit unsure of your options, the Creative Connect service is a useful resource for all young people at any stage of their career, wanting to build long-term sustainable careers in the creative, cultural, and digital technology industries. Alexandra Edwards, Interior Design @ Seen Studios
Alexandra is Design Director at Seen Studios. Studied architecture but moved into interior design shortly after graduating. Alexandra has a background in permanent retail store design and is now beginning to branch into brand activations and pop-ups through work at Seen.
Kate Finch @ BBC
After starting her career at the Barbican, Kate moved to the BBC to join the BBC Symphony Orchestra and set up their first marketing and press team. Now, over twenty years later, Kate’s main focus continues to be growing audiences for classical music including BBC Proms, the world’s largest classical music festival held each year at the Royal Albert Hall, and also for the BBC London Orchestras and Choirs. Kate manages a team who deliver a wide range of activity including taking musicians into schools and working with young people exploring careers in the creative industries, as well as creating effective marketing and social campaigns to drive people to events and broadcasts. In recent years Kate has become the BBC partnership lead for East Bank.
Lily Dadson, Creative Project Management @ Seen Studios
Lily is a creative project manager from an interior design background and works predominantly on Seen Studio's design toolkits and sometimes branches out to their design and build projects. Lily has an eye for design details and this has helped Lily to shape her career in the creative project management world.
Malachy Bell, Project & Client Management @ Planes
Malachy is client services and new business expert with 6 years' experience across product, design, and creative agencies. Malachy currently work at Planes, a digital product studio based in Hoxton. Specialising in pitching clients, building relationships, and managing the scope and budget of agency projects.
