East Bank

East Bank is the UK’s latest cultural quarter at the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Opening in Autumn 2023, East Bank is a unique collaboration between cultural institutions, world-leading universities, and the people of the Olympic boroughs.

Comprising V&A East, Sadler’s Wells East, UAL’s London College of Fashion, UCL East (University College London), and the new BBC Music studios, East Bank is the place where entertainment, inspiration, and discovery happens – and is open to everyone who visits, lives and works in east London.

East Bank is committed to ensuring local residents can access career and employment opportunities within their organisations and positively shape the offer, ensuring it represents East London’s rich cultural diversity.

  • East Bank x GGH

GGH has been working with East Bank partners to connect them to local talent through the partner's New Talent Future Leaders programme. This partnership has delivered benefits not just for residents looking for career opportunities but for the organisations themselves as they strive to diversify their workforces and create more inclusive cultures. As partners open their doors the wealth of employment opportunities is expected to rise and to support this, the partnership will be looking to further solidify their relationship with the GGH, as their key employment service for accessing entry-level talent.

As interest and excitement around East Bank grows, we are keen to encourage new and promote existing employment opportunities at East Bank, so they are visible and accessible. As a resident of East Bank and a space dedicated to providing skills and employment opportunities to local young people, the Good Growth Hub continues to connect local talent with skills and employment opportunities at East Bank.

  • East Bank x Local Skills & Employment

Local skills and creative employment programmes:

    • STEP is funded and developed by the London Legacy Development Corporation, supported by founding partners Bow Arts, Sadler’s Wells, and UAL London College of Fashion.
    • Creative and Cultural Opportunities Programme is supported by Sadler’s Wells, the V&A and UCL, and aims to connect local young Londoners to creative and cultural organisations through masterclasses, workshops and training sessions to support them with starting a career in the creative industries. Participants also get 121 advice and guidance as well as job opportunities and application support.
    • New Talent-Future Leaders programme is a £3 million 5-year creative employment programme, led by a consortium of London’s major arts, cultural and education institutions — Sadler’s Wells, UCL East, UAL London College of Fashion, BBC and V&A East – who make up the new East Bank cultural district in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The consortium works in partnership with A New Direction, who operates the Good Growth Hub. The fund is provided as part of the Westfield east Bank Creative Futures Fund.
