Skills for Life: Podcasting

Everything you need to kickstart a career in podcasting with this free 7-week intensive course

A programme series dedicated to developing the creative skills and practice of young people in the fields of podcasting, audio production, filmmaking, set design, digital content, photography, and more. This free 7-week course encourages 18-30-year-old Londoners with a passion for developing, enhancing, or applying new creative skills, to build lifelong collaborations among the cohort and contribute to the creative workforce, paid and skilled at the end of each course.

By the end of the course, participants will each create an under 10min podcast episode responding to a brief set by Foundation FM “Empowering marginalised voices through podcasting”.

The curriculum is co-designed and co-delivered with emerging and established London-based creative practitioners, and freelancers from big-name companies like Spotify, each contributing via guest lectures, masterclasses, technical skills-based workshops, inspirational bite-sized industry talks, informative panel discussions, brand briefs, and the occasional creative field trip to their studios.

Applicants do not need any prior educational or work experience in podcasting to apply, just a passion, interest, or willingness to learn the skill.
