Cherise Hamilton-Stephenson

Cherise is an Investigative broadcast journalist from South London embedded in UK culture. She has a passion for contemporary politics, and social issues, alongside a commitment to platforming minority voices. This led her to create and host the award-winning politics podcast Interconnected Voices which takes you behind the news headlines and combines insightful political commentary with personal stories from a wide variety of underrepresented and diverse voices.

She has also produced 3 audio documentaries for BBC World Service investigating issues in the Black British and American communities.

Most recently Cherise has been reporting and producing at ITV News after completing the ITV News Journalism traineeship scheme, and a Reuters/CIJ fellowship in investigative journalism.

In 2020 Cherise launched Brown Sugar Bakes, a black-owned vegan bakery with her mum and her sister, they currently provide cakes to 4 south London shops. Cherise also regularly tutors at the Roundhouse facilitating workshops on presenting/interviewing skills and podcast creation.
