Salma Mohamed

Salma recently completed a BA in Ancient History at KCL, which exposed her to the rich history of ancient civilisations. As an ancient history student, Salma was interested in the impact that ancient civilisations have had on modern society. Museums were a big part of her higher education and having access to a plethora of museums and exhibitions courtesy of the classics department helped shape her studies in a positive way. She would love to in the future work in museum education programmes and allow children from all backgrounds access to the wealth of information available that museums provide.

There are many aspects that excite Salma about STEP. Firstly, the STEPS programme would provide her with a mentor. This would allow her to tap into a wealth of knowledge about an industry she has a keen interest in but no contacts. Mentors have a way of seeing more of our faults than we would like. It's the only way we grow and having a mentor to offer advice and constructive criticism will help stimulate personal and professional growth.
