My name is Nelson Aligwo. I am an author, screenwriter, and director from East London.
I mostly focus on the action, thriller, psychological thriller, crime, and horror genres. I’m influenced by directors such as David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, and David Leitch, as well as writers like Brian Azzarello, Nobuyuki Fukumoto and Tsugumi Ohba.
I am currently working on some scripts for short films, and a manuscript for a fiction novel.
My debut short film, ‘Tomorrow’s Creatives’ is a serene exploration into the motivations of different creatives and their desire to express their ideas.
My long-term vision for the future is to have a strong body of written work and to create several slick, exciting, and intense feature films/ TV shows, purely designed to entertain, electrify, and grip the viewers, much like the directors and creatives that I look up to.
I also enjoy making visual art.
