I am a bubbly, extroverted, and ambitious British South Asian born and raised in East London. Since graduating from university, navigating the job market has been challenging, and I've struggled to find my creative spark. I believe the STEP programme will provide the mentorship, training, and support I need to rebuild my confidence and further my self-development.
I am passionate about music, culture, poetry, fashion, films, and travel. Empowering the next generation and connecting with young people from diverse backgrounds is important to me. As a young person of colour, I have faced difficulties in the creative job market, which has affected my self-esteem. However, I believe the STEP programme is a fantastic opportunity for people like me to gain access to training, experience, and employment in the cultural, creative, and digital technology sectors.
I am most excited about learning new things, discovering upcoming opportunities, and being part of a supportive cohort. Having a mentor to guide me would be invaluable. I thrive in environments where I can relate to others and share experiences, and I look forward to contributing to and growing with this community.
