Makilah is a creative across multiple fields however she is currently starting her career in the creative industry looking towards creative production. She has always had a love for music, fashion, culture and the arts and thoroughly enjoyed her art foundation course at Ravensbourne University doing a Design & Media course. This led to her doing a BA degree at Middlesex University for Fashion Communication & Styling. With her love for photography which was her main focus during these years, she later moved on to more of a productional role. Makilah realised whilst working on photography sets, music videos, advertising campaigns and a feature film that she really wanted to focus more on what she can do within a creative production environment.
She has always been a massive people person and had a passion for seeing something she has worked on with other creatives come together as a collective collaboration. Therefore working at CEBE studio is a massive achievement for her especially because she knows how much the experience there will be fundamental in her growth as well as continuing to give her the opportunity to learn and find her place in such a diverse and ever growing industry. Makilah is also looking forward to the mentorship and support aspect of the STEP program because she knows how important having support from people who truly want you to succeed is for your confidence and journey in life.
