I am a poet, performer, keen conversationalist and relentless groover living in East London. Following an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Politics at UEA, I travelled and volunteered in New Zealand and Italy over a period of two years, working in the Lake District for an accessible adventure charity in between. Spending time exploring allowed me to develop key themes and skills relevant to my practice, including observation, active listening and self-sufficient growing practices. My transness and relationship to the natural world are ever-present in the communities I inhabit.
In July 2024, I read at the New York Poetry festival to promote the publication of my debut collection, Did You See My Eyes Mum, and have since placed more focus on performance and embodied learning. My experiences of dysphoria and imposter syndrome have accelerated a passion for process and collaboration. I want to be challenge artist tropes and expectations. I am a member of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective and have produced responses for the Queer Poetics Research Collective, both of which champion radical, anti-capitalistic making.
I am excited to gain a better understanding of arts education and partnerships through STEP, so that I can better delineate my creative ideas.
