Applying to the STEP programme is a unique opportunity to find where I belong within the arts, supported by a cohort of like-minded people. I’m particularly excited by STEP’s emphasis on collaborative learning, mentorship, and skill-sharing - a refreshing alternative to the often exclusive pathways into the arts. My past experiences include; facilitating art workshops with sixth form students during my time on the Goldsmith’s University Schools Engagement Programme, co-organising community fundraisers, and contributing to the emergence and growth of a trade union in my current workplace.
I am excited to learn from the team at Peer gallery, and be a part of their commitment to local voices and emerging artists. I want to build meaningful connections with those around me, and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to shape a future with these values at the core, through the guidance, space, and shared energy offered by the STEP programme
